Only 55 coaches of the so-called "Modus" cars, including 11 control cars, were manufactured by rebuilding older vehicles. They were used almost exclusively on routes around Würzburg, seen near Himmelstadt as train RE 4607 from Frankfurt (Main) to Würzburg on 22 August 2014.
